Are you a HCPC‑registered Dietician looking for a role where your expertise truly makes a difference?
We’re proud to be creating a new Dietician role within our Clinical Services team. This is a unique opportunity to shape dietetic practice across residential and supported living services for adults with learning disabilities and intensive specialist support needs, placing nutrition at the heart of person‑centred care.
As our Dietician, you’ll provide specialist clinical consultancy and hands‑on dietetic support across our services, working closely with the people we support, care teams, families, and a wide multidisciplinary network including Speech and Language Therapists, GPs, psychologists and in‑house chefs.
You’ll combine direct clinical practice with service development, quality improvement and workforce education, helping to embed safe, evidence‑based nutrition and hydration as a core part of everyday care – while influencing the future growth of our clinical team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering person‑centred, strengths‑based dietetic care that respects choice, dignity and autonomy
- Undertaking holistic nutritional assessments considering communication needs, sensory sensitivities, culture, routines and complex health needs
- Developing individualised nutrition and hydration plans in partnership with people, families and professionals
- Leading on menu planning, nutritional standards and hydration strategies in residential settings
- Providing training and guidance on nutrition, hydration, sensory needs, safe mealtime practice and dysphagia awareness
- Identifying and managing nutrition‑related risks, contributing to safeguarding and Mental Capacity Act processes
- Helping to shape and develop this new role, using outcomes, audit data and feedback to drive service improvement
