Support Worker - Low Laithes

We are looking to recruit a compassionate and dedicated support worker  to support a gentleman living at Low Laithes, our adult residential service in Wombwell, Barnsley.

You will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care, supporting an individual to live a meaningful, fulfilling life tailored to his preferences, routines, and goals.

The gentleman you’ll be supporting is polite, with a warm sense of humour that shines through once trust is built. He enjoys being active outdoors, playing games, engaging with sensory activities, relaxing with DVDs, and sharing good-quality meals.

He benefits from a calm, predictable environment and values relationships with staff who understand him well and support him consistently.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs
• Supporting a structured daily routine that promotes wellbeing and independence
• Encouraging participation in outdoor and physical activities
• Supporting communication using a calm, clear, and consistent approach
• Enabling choice in a manageable and supportive way
• Building a trusted, positive relationship with the individual and their family
