We are looking for someone to join our support worker team in Lockett Gardens.
 
This role is person specific and the indivudual you will be assisting is a very active individual, they like going on bike rides, swimming and various other physical activities such as rock climbing. 

Working in Lockett Gardens will keep you busy, you will be enhancing the lives of lots of different types of people from one day to the next. You will be part of a team that works together to create a positive working environment whilst empowering the people that live here to have meaningful lives.

We are surrounded by wonderful grounds and on site there is a cinema, beautician, hairdressers, shop and bistro.  We support people to access these facilities and encourage independence so that people supported can then access these facilities in the community.

Not only does your role as a Support Worker provide you with variety day in day out, but we do try to make your day as easy as possible, with a fixed rota and a direct bus to Meadow View from Doncaster Town Centre.
 
Hours of work - The successful candidate can plan their rota with the care manager based off the needs of the area, therefore separate to the staff rota.

About You

You don't need to have experience but it is essential that you share our values.  As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us. Our excellent training team will support you to become a qualified Support Worker, which could see you on your journey to a career in care. This position requires an enthusiastic and caring person who wants to make a difference.

The following is essential:

  • Hold Full UK driving licence
  • Be able to swim
  • Be able to ride a bike
  • Needs to be enthusiastic and want to support with high levels of physical activity both on and off site.
