About The Role

We are looking for support workers to care for a young man in one of our homes at The Paddocks, in Wadworth, Doncaster. We’ll call our young person Matthew*.

We are looking for people who are a good match in terms of personalities and have similar interests to our young people.

Matthew loves to try new things and enjoys building his independent skills. He is looking for support workers who can develop his independence further through clear lines of communication using signs and communication aids.

Matthew is passionate about cooking tasty meals with help from his team as well as keeping his house clean and tidy. Matthew likes structure and consistency, so would work well with an organised and calm person.  If you are house-proud and would like to develop someone’s life skills, then this could be the role for you.

Our shift times are:

Days 7:10am – 3:55pm

Afters 2:45pm – 9:30pm

It is a flexible rota running over 6 weeks, with no fixed pattern to shifts, for example you may work 2 days 1 afters then have 2 days off off, or work 3 afters then have 4 days off for example. You will work 14 day shifts and 14 afternoon shifts and will get 14 days off in the six week period. 

Preferred days off can be put onto the communication board for the manager who will then try and accommodate the requests.

About You

You don't need to have experience but it is essential that you share our values.  As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us. We will support you through your Level 2 qualification so you become a fully qualified Support Worker.
