About The Role

Established in 1975, the Hesley Group provides flexible, specialist residential services and schools. We aim to offer the best possible care, education and vocational opportunities for young people and adults, often with autism, who have a learning disability and complex needs including behaviour which may challenge.


We require an experienced Behaviour Therapist (Up to Senior level) to join the Applied Psychology department in the psychological assessment and support of those in our adult residential services. The post is predominantly based at Hesley Village, Doncaster, with routine input to other adult services within the wider adult services, including Easingwold, Nr York. 

You will seek to understand the function of behaviours presented, formulate and implement behavioural interventions. In addition, you will provide specialist behavioural advice, guidance and consultation to a range of stakeholders.

Interviews will be via Zoom on week commencing 8th of February 2021.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working with an autism and / or learning disability population

  • An MSc in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)/ABA or equivalent. A BCaBA or BCBA qualification is desirable.

  • Understanding of PBS with an emphasis on person-centered planning.

  • Experience of delivering a behavioural service within a PBS framework.

  • Skills to enable individuals to become more independent and live a lifestyle of their choosing

  • Evidence of being a strong team player with a genuine desire to help others

  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
